Fishing at Grassy Pond

Saturday July 3rd, 2021

Tour Description

Experience the beauty and serenity of Maine’s wilderness with a Registered Maine Fishing Guide.

Come fishing with Maine Guided trips to a local spot for bass.  We will have two trips going, one departing early morning for four hours at 5:30am, returning at 10:30am.  The second trip departs at 3:30pm and returns at 8:30pm. Groups of four people maximum.  All fishing gear provided.  Bring your own fishing gear if you like.  Snacks provided.  Please email [email protected] to reserve your space!

$75 per person, four person minimum
Event Location: Grassy Pond, West Rockport, Maine. 
What to Bring:
  • Appropriate clothing for weather and activity
  • Rain Gear
  • Water shoes, or close toed shoes
  • One water bottle, min 750ml
  • Personal sunscreen & bug repellent
  • Hat and sunglasses (Polarized sun glasses work best when on the water.)
  • Camera or phone
Optional:
  • Dry clothes for after the activity
  • Waterproof cover for phone, or waterproof camera
What is provided:
  • Rod, lures, bait, net, hook removal tool (You may bring your own fishing gear.)
  • Boat, paddles, PFD's, anchor, first aid kit, and emergency gear.
Skill requirement:  None.  Must be at least 12 years old, 16 years old and under require parental supervision.
Physical requirements: None, but may be asked to assist with gear, or lift boats if able.

Day Hike up Tumbledown Mountain

Saturday July 24th, 2021

 Tour Description

Experience the beauty and serenity of Maine’s wilderness with a Registered Maine Recreational Guide.

Come on a great day hike up Tumbledown Mountain in Western Maine.  This all day trip will bring you to one of the most interesting summits in the State of Maine!  Either ride together or meet at the trailhead.  Day pack, water bottles, sunscreen, insect repellent, study hiking shoes required.  Snacks and lunch provided.  This is a moderately strenuous hike.  Please email [email protected] to reserve your space.  Transportation to and from the trailhead not included.

$100 per person, eight person minimum
Event Location: Location will be provided by Guide during booking process. Sent via Maps app.
What to Bring:
  • Day pack
  • Two water bottles, min 750ml
  • Personal sunscreen & bug repellent
  • 1 Headlamp or flashlight with extra batteries
Personal clothing (synthetic where possible):
  • Appropriate clothing for weather and activity
  • Loose fitting, quick drying pants, or shorts
  • Rain Gear - acts as wind breaker
  • Long sleeve shirt, wool or synthetic
  • Three season jacket
  • Extra pair of shoes, lightweight like Crocs
  • Baseball cap, or other hat
  • Sturdy walking shoes
  • Two Bandanas
  • Hat and sunglasses (Polarized sun glasses work best when on the water.)
  • Camera or phone
Optional:
  • Swimsuit
What is provided by Guide:
  • Compass, guide book of the area & maps
  • First aid kit
  • Matches
  • Binoculars
  • Emergency sleeping bag and other emergency gear
  • Extra batteries and extra cell phone charger
Skill requirement:  Strenuous walking uphill and down for a period of about 8-10 hours.  Must be at least 12 years old, 16 years old and under require parental supervision.
Physical requirements: Must be able to walk over rough mountainous terrain for 8-10 hours, for about 10 miles.

Camping on Warren Island

Saturday and Sunday, August 14-15, 2021

Tour Description

Experience the beauty and serenity of Maine’s wilderness with a Registered Maine Recreational Guide.

Meet in Lincolnville Beach at 10:00 am Saturday morning.  Take the charter boat over to Warren Island and set up camp.  If you are up for it take a tour around the harbors of Islesboro and Seven Hundred Acre Island.  Lunch, Dinner, snacks, and breakfast the following day provided.  Time to explore the island.  Return the following day to Lincolnville Beach by 11:00am Sunday morning.  All cooking provided by guide.  Utensils too!  Come and explore one of our local island gems! State Park Fees included, parking at Lincolnville Beach, +/-$12 per car.

  • 1 Sleeping bag (Required, if you need one we can provide for a small fee.)
  • 1 sleeping pad
  • 1 pair loose fitting, quick drying pants 1 three season jacket
  • Three season jacket
  • 1 rain jacket & pants
  • 1 long sleeve shirt, wool or synthetic T shirt
  • 1 pair of shorts
  • 1 swimsuit
  • 1 pair underwear
  • 1 pair heavy socks
  • Extra pair of shoes, lightweight like Crocs
  • 1 baseball cap or other hat
  • 2  bandanas
  • 1 towel
  • 1 pair sunglasses
  • 1 toothbrush & toothpaste
  • 1 sunscreen 1 bug repellent
  • 1 camera or phone
  • 1 comb or bush

Skill requirement:  Ability to board a boat, walk over uneven terrain, one mile.  Must be at least 12 years old, 16 years old and under require parental supervision.
Physical requirements: Must be able to walk over uneven terrain for 1 hour per day, for about 3-6 miles per day. There will be some hauling of gear using carts.
