Become a Registered Maine Guide
Maine requires all Guides to be registered to take groups of people on trips. To become a Registered Maine Guide, you need to have outdoor experience, meet first aid requirements, and pass rigorous tests by the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife (IF&W). This is not an easy process, but Bill is happy to provide you mentorship and guidance through this process.
Bill is currently a Registered Maine Guide with recreation, fishing, and, sea kayaking endorsements. He spent six years as an Hurricane Island Outward Bound sailing and sea kayak instructor. Bill is also a Wilderness First Responder.
If you are interested in learning how to become a Registered Maine Guide, please contact us and let us know what test you would like to take. Bill will reach out to discuss how he may be of assistance to you.
