We would depart Togue Pond Gate at Baxter State Park by ten o’clock and hike three miles from Roaring Brook with packed food and gear to Chimney Pond. Your guide will prepare tasty food before you retire in this amazing spot which you will have time to explore. We will camp in a lean-to, bunk house, or tent site for the night. Next morning hike to the peak of Mount Katahdin via the Cathedral, or Saddle trail. If there is enough time, interest, and the weather cooperates, we can hike part of the Knife’s Edge, or over to Hamlin Peak returning that evening to Chimney Pond for more delicious guide-cooked food.
