Experience the beauty and serenity of Maine’s wilderness with a Registered Maine Recreational Guide.
All day trip – Strenuous - Leave early morning from Rockport. Climb Maine’s tallest and most challenging peak. See spectacular vistas, possibly moose, and lots of other wildlife. This is a very special park set up by Percival Baxter to remain, “Forever Wild.” All told this can be a 16-hour day (Including travel to and from Rockport, plus ten hours of hiking. strenuous and weather permitting) Lunch and snacks provided. NOTE: If you need gear that is on the required list please let me know before departure. If you show up without the proper gear, Maine Guided Trips reserves the right to cancel at the discretion of the guide no matter where the client is met.
$450 per person, two person minimum. Does not including park fees (+/- $15)

What to Bring:
Physical requirements: Must be able to walk over rough mountainous terrain for 10-12 hours, for about 12 miles.
What to Bring:
- Day pack
- Two water bottles, min 750ml
- Personal sunscreen & bug repellent
- 1 Headlamp or flashlight with extra batteries
- Appropriate clothing for weather and activity
- Loose fitting, quick drying pants, or shorts
- Rain Gear - acts as wind breaker
- Long sleeve shirt, wool or synthetic
- Three season jacket
- Swimsuit
- Extra pair of shoes, lightweight like Crocs
- Baseball cap, or other hat
- Sturdy walking shoes
- Two Bandanas
- Hat and sunglasses (Polarized sun glasses work best when on the water.)
- Camera or phone
- Compass, guide book of the area & maps
- First aid kit
- Matches
- Binoculars
- Emergency sleeping bag and other emergency gear
- Extra batteries and extra cell phone charger

Lunch and snack provided. Provide your own transportation, or I will meet you. Water bottle and sturdy hiking shoes required. See gear list here.
