Closing out the fishing day with a beautiful sunset!
I have been fishing since a very young age when I caught my first bass that was almost as large as I was. I was fishing off the dock at my parents lake club dock in Jaffrey, New Hampshire, when I hooked onto a big one, and I was hooked!
I fished for yellow perch, and bass, which I cleaned and ate for breakfast with my family. We also sought out brook trout in our back yard stream, walking miles along the stream dipping our small baited hooks in the cold, clear water. We tried to sneak up on them, and were successful often. I was introduced to fly fishing, but did not go fly fishing until I was older. I have fished for pike and lake trout in Canada.
Today, we fish for smallmouth, and largemouth bass, rainbow trout, brown trout, lake trout, and landlocked salmon. We might catch something else, like a chain pickerel, sunfish, or crappie. The important thing is not what we catch, but the experiences we have with other people when I am fishing. I hope you can join me!
